SundanceTV has slated the premiere of the true-crime docuseries The Killer Clown: Murder on the Doorstep for June 5.

The series chronicles the story behind the murder of Florida resident Marlene Warren, a young wife and mother, who was gunned down on her own doorstep by a person dressed as a clown. Her husband, Michael, emerged as the prime suspect after rumors of infidelity, but he provided a solid alibi. Three decades later, his alleged mistress was arrested for the murder.

The three-parter reexamines the case through interviews with investigators, attorneys for the defense and prosecution, Marlene’s son and others close to Michael and Marlene, and seeks to unravel the motives behind the murder.

The Killer Clown: Murder on the Doorstep is directed and produced by Ellie Merz (Untold). It comes from Flicker Productions. BossaNova Media is handling distribution.

The series will be available to stream in full on Sundance Now and AMC+ on June 5. The series will air weekly on SundanceTV.
