OneGate Media Lands World Rights for FC Hollywood

OneGate Media has picked up the global distribution rights to the football docuseries FC Hollywood—Der FC Bayern und die verrückten 90er.

The series dives into FC Bayern Munich’s most turbulent period, 1996 to 2001, when the record-breaking team of unparalleled talent often became its own biggest rival. The story is told by those who lived through it and features football icons such as Lothar Matthäus, Jürgen Klinsmann, Mehmet Scholl, Mario Basler and Stefan Effenberg.

It also features exclusive insights from journalists such as Reinhold Beckmann, Patrizia Riekel and Marcel Reif and previously unreleased archival footage.

The series, which first aired on ZDF Mediathek on January 10, has become one of the most successful programs on the platform this year. It has surpassed 6 million views since its launch.

FC Hollywood comes from ZDF and bildundtonfabrik (btf). OneGate Media will now handle worldwide distribution, making the series available to broadcasters and platforms around the globe.
