BIG Media has scored multiple licensing deals for Journey to the UFC: Joe Pyfer in the U.S., Hungary and France.

The documentary has been sold to Roku in the U.S., AMC Hungary and CANAL+ in France. It narrates the MMA fighter’s storied life, delving into his abusive childhood, his rise as a professional fighter, the career-threatening injury he endured and his ultimate comeback.

Journey to the UFC: Joe Pyfer is produced and directed by Chandler Henry, Pyfer’s childhood best friend.

The series comes ahead of Pyfer’s UFC match on June 7.

“As Joe Pyfer’s profile has grown exponentially over the past year and interest is high in the possible outcome of his June 7 fight against UFC veteran and former title challenger Kelvin Gastelum, we have been able to close more deals and open more discussions with broadcasters and streamers alike about this engaging documentary,” said Danny Wilk, co-founder and president of BIG Media. “But you don’t have to be a UFC fan to become enthralled with Joe’s story of grit, passion and perseverance. We are excited to bring his story to the world via all platforms.”

Journey to the UFC: Joe Pyfer is live on Roku for U.S. screens.
