Serious Kids has signed a deal with RTVE in Spain to air season one of Team Nuggets on Clan this spring.

Created by Sparre Production for DR and co-produced with Godo Films for CANAL+, the comedy for 5- to 8-year-olds centers on an ambitious young chicken and a group of volatile and diverse classmates as they navigate school for the first time.

The animated series is currently airing on DR, CANAL+, NRK, SVT, RÚV, Yle, Česká televize, RTV Slovenia, RTBF and RTS. Serious Kids acquired the worldwide content distribution rights, excluding the Nordics and French-speaking Europe, in 2024.

Team Nuggets completed production in 2023 and went on to win the Pulcinella Award for best animation in its target age group. It was also the runner-up for the Prix Jeunesse International Award in 2024.

DR and the Danish publishing house Gutkind have already produced a series of books based on the characters, including How to Be a Good Friend, as well as the school diaries of key characters.

Sparre Production and Godo Films have begun preproduction on season two.

“It is fantastic to have Clan on board,” said Serious Kids’ Leila Ouledcheikh. “This is a key collaboration as we look to ensure the success of Team Nuggets around the globe. We are excited to soon reveal another major broadcast partner!”

Team Nuggets is a rare gem, blending strong comedy with a unique CGI visual style that speaks to kids in their first years of school,” commented Laura Montero from RTVE.

Irene Sparre of Sparre Production added, “We are so delighted to see our series travel beyond France and Denmark. It is testament to the strength of our co-production with DR, Godo Films and CANAL+.”
