BBC Studios Launches Bluey Dancealongs Digital Series

BBC Studios has launched the new Bluey digital series Bluey Dancealongs, featuring Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell.

Buswell choreographs and stars in five dance videos, each of which feature a beloved Bluey song and take place in a different location within the Bluey world. The first video has debuted on the official Bluey YouTube channel, the Bluey website and Bluey social channels.

Each video is between one and three minutes long and features young fans of the show alongside Buswell. Songs included in the series are “A Message from the Fairies,” “Bluey Theme Tune (Dance Remix),” “Lollipop Yum Yum Yum,” “Muffin Drive” and “Burger Dog.”

Buswell is an Australian professional dancer who won Strictly Come Dancing for the first time in 2024 alongside Chris McCausland. Their dance received the memorable moment award at this year’s BAFTA TV Awards. This new series marks her second collaboration with Bluey, following the exclusive moment when Bluey was transported directly into the Strictly Ballroom alongside the professional dancers for BBC Children in Need in 2024.

Bluey Dancealongs is the latest digital commission for the Bluey brand from BBC Studios Digital Brands. The series is produced by Whistling Wolf, BBC Studios Digital Brands and Ludo Studio. It was filmed at Bluey’s World in Brisbane, Australia.

“How cool that I got to go to Bluey’s World in Australia to dance in Bluey’s house with some incredibly talented kids dancing to some of Bluey’s favorite tunes,” Buswell said. “I love the message that Bluey sends out, to not just kids but grown-ups, too. I can’t wait to see everybody trying the dance moves at home and joining in the party.”
