J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Being the Ricardos, The Closer) is set to star in the lead role of the upcoming MGM+ crime drama The Westies, created by Chris Brancato (Narcos, Hotel Cocaine).

MGM+ has ordered the anthology series American Hostage (w.t.) from co-creator and executive producer Shawn Ryan (The Night Agent, S.W.A.T.) and co-creator and executive producer Eileen Myers (Big Love, Mad Dogs).
