ORF-Enterprise has added the crime mystery series Jones, created and directed by Bruno Gascon, to its drama offering.

The series centers around a shocking murder during a luxurious family gathering at an exclusive location. A detective with the special ability to communicate with the dead teams up with the victim to solve her own murder.

The cast includes José Pimentão (1899, Eric), Laura Dutra (Irreversible, After Everything) and Ivo Canelas (Glória). It is produced by Caracol Studios in Portugal, where it will air on RTP. Filming is scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2025.

“Nothing in Jones is what it seems,” Gascon said. “The dead speak, the living lie and the truth hides behind layers of illusion. This is a series inspired by Agatha Christie, full of suspense, eccentric characters and dark humor.”

“We are thrilled to see this great series traveling around the world through ORF,” commented José Fragoso, channel director of RTP1. “RTP continues to follow a sustainable path by supporting national independent productions for both local audiences and global markets.”

“We are excited to be trusted with the global rollout of a series highlight made in Europe, affirming our commitment to provide high-quality entertainment to buyers and respectively audiences worldwide,” added Marion Camus-Oberdorfer, director of acquisitions and distribution investment at ORF-Enterprise.
