Drama Series Fake Coming to 10 & 10 Play

Fake is set to launch on 10 and 10 Play on Sunday, May 25.

The series’ initial release was on Paramount+ in Australia. Fake, inspired by Stephanie Wood’s memoir, delves into the world of romance scams.

The series stars Asher Keddie (Offspring, Love My Way) as Birdie Bell, a magazine writer who becomes involved in a relationship with the mysterious Joe Burt, played by David Wenham (The Lord of the Rings, Top of the Lake). Birdie engulfs herself in a relationship she thinks is her happily ever after, only to discover her boyfriend might not be who he said he is.

Fake is a Kindling Pictures production for Paramount+ Australia, with investment from Paramount ANZ and Screen Australia, in association with VicScreen. Entertainment One (eOne) handles international sales. Fake will premiere after MasterChef Australia.
